SIGNIFICANCE(NARATIVE): MUGHAL STYLE BUILDING DONE BY A BRITISH ARCHITECT HENRY IRWIN(1841 - 1922). ITS ENTRANCE WAS MODELLED ON THE FAMOUS " BULAND DARWAZA " AT FATHEPUR SIKRI AT AGRA. ERECTED TO COMMEMORATE QUEEN VICTORIAS ARRIVAL TO INDIA.

A SHOWCASE OF THE BEAUTIFUL INDO - SARACENIC STYLE.IT HAS A RECTANGULAR PLAN AND BUILT IN A PINKISH RED SANDSTONE. ON EITHER SIDE OF THE ENTRANCE TWO SIDE DOORS THAT LEAD TO STAIRCASE WHICH IN TURN LEADS TO THE FIRST FLOOR.THE BUILDING HAS ONE CENTRAL DOME AND A SERIES OF SMALL TURRETS LINING THE WALLS ON THE TOP.

ROOF: MADRAS TERRACE
OPENINGS:ARCH & FALT OPENINGS.

DECORATIVE FEATURES
BUILT IN PINK RED SANDSTONE WITH HIGHLY ORNATE ARCHES WITH SCALLOPED ARCHES.

STATE OF PRESERVATION: GOOD
